Who funds Anderson Township Fire Department?

We are primarily funded by membership dues which is $40 per residence.  We run a utility vehicle raffle yearly to maintain a capital improvements fund.  We receive some other funds from Indiana DNR, community foundation grants, and occasional private donations amounting to less than 5% of our $45,000 yearly budget.

How do I become a member?

Becoming a member is as easy as filling out this form, membership dues are $40 per residence. If you would like an information packet email us at andersontownshipfire@gmail.com with your name and address and we will mail you the form with all the information.

How do I submit a request?

  • If regarding a controlled burn contact Dispatch at 812-547-7068.
  • If needing a fire report or requesting a demonstration of equipment or a fire prevention class call 812-836-2555 and leave a message or email us at andersontownshipfire@gmail.com

Burn Ban Status

What is it? Who Sets it and different statuses? Burn bans can be put in place throughout the year depending on varying environmental conditions. This is a joint decision that is made in conjunction with our Emergency Management Agency as well as all of the fire departments in Perry County.
